A true story of a believer now departed. Years ago, Sister B, as a teenager near Dothan, Ala, attended a Missionary "revival." Night after night, the "evangelists" looked her square in the eyes as he exhorted her to "accept Jesus as your Saviour." And, night after night, he pressed the point, that "if you don't let Him save you, you'll spend eternity in hell." Friday night is always the "last chance night," as still she was unmoved. The "evangelist" called on someone to dismiss, while he tip-toed to the door. As B. left, he blocked her way, and ask her if she was going to leave lost? Her answer, I am told by reliable sources, was, "Did I hear you say that Jesus cannot save someone unless they let Him?" He answer "Yes, that is right. He can't. You must let Him come into your heart." "Did you say that He would send me to hell if I don't accept him?" "Yes, and that is serious business!." She again replied, "Then I will not let Him!" He said "You can't help it, He will send you to hell!" Her last question was: "Do you mean that He is greater in damnation, than He is in salvation?" Years later, she gained a good hope through grace, and was a steadfast believer, and a member of an Old School church.
